Just a short report this week(and a little late) , not a lot happening in the run-in to Christmas. Club Spins: Sunday Leisure Group club spin: Only Ger and Kathy were out from the leisure group on Sunday. The went to Birdhill, up the ramp and home again. No report of any avian mis-behaviour this week! Sunday Orange Group club spin: The orange group departed Moynan’s at 9am and headed north towards Portumna before turning right at The Ferry Inn and out the Birr road. Club Open Night: The first Open Night of the year was held on Monday evening in Moynan’s Bike Shop. A good few turned up on the night and they were able to renew or register their membership for the coming year, buy club gear which was on display (some bargains in there still, so talk to Jan), discuss any issue with regard to cycling with the club and cycling in general, and browse the great range of bikes and cycling products in the shop. Club Open Night & Updates

  Club Open Night We’ll be hosting a club open night on Monday 3rd of December in Moynan’s Bike Shop from 6pm. This will allow existing members to renew their membership, and we extend a warm welcome to anyone who would like to become a member of our club. On the night, prospective new members will be able to meet with club members and members of the committee, ask any questions you might have about cycling or our club, and get advice on the great selection of bikes and equipment on display. Club Spins Though a little windy at times, the conditions were perfect for cycling on both Saturday and Sunday. As a result, we had good numbers out in total over both days. Well done to everyone who took advantage of the clement weather. Saturday training spin The Saturday morning group left Woodie’s car park at 9am and headed out the N7 towards Limerick, turning right at Birdhill and over the river at O’Brien’s Bridge. NTW Awards Night & Club Updates

The main event of the week was the club Awards Night on Saturday night in the Thatched Cottage in Ballycommon, where club members were recognised for their many achievements during the cycling year and got the opportunity to enjoy themselves and each other in a non-cycling setting and have a bit of craic. Trophies were handed out to the main competition winners, prizes to those who featured in club races and TTs, and presentations were made to people who made important individual contributions during the year.
