RESULT OF THE J.MOYNAN TT No.5

Amazingly enough, we had a second dry, sunny evening for our Thursday evening racing and this week it was TT 5 in the J.Moynan TT Series. The course has been used before and is a hard one – Moneygall to the first Roscrea roundabout and back – a distance of 15 miles. On this occasion, however, there was a very strong head wind on the return journey which lowered some riders times and certainly drained them! RESULT OF TWO-UP TT

For the first time in ages, we had a DRY Thursday evening and this fact was mirrored in a large sign-on, All the riders were so grateful not to be drenched before finishing! It was the second Two-Up TT and the route was the 10 ml course from Yellow Bridge to Birddhill and back. REPORT ON THE 9.5 ml ROAD RACE

At last, the report on the 9.5 ml road  race which took place on Thursday 28th June, in as usual, horrible wet weather conditions! The course was from the Birdhill roundabout to the Five Alley and in spite of the inclemency of the weather, there was once again a good sign-on. The fastest three on the night were Shane Scully, Tommy Hanrahan and Pat Rohan while the race win went to our visitor from Limerick CC, Andy Kett with Kevin Byrne taking a close second place and Shane Scully in third. RESULT OF 19.5 ml ROAD RACE

At last, the result of last weeks road race, which was over a course of 19.5 mls and was ridden in horrible wet, windy weather. The course was Dolla through Silvermines to the Limerick road then a left turn to Birdhill roundabout then all the way back to the Five Alley. The weather really was diabolical but there was still a fairly good sign-on of hardy souls. The fastest time on the night went to Pat Bergin with Eamon Hartnett and Liam Callaghan hot on his wheel! RESULT OF J. MOYNAN TT No.4

For TT4, we were back to the wet, cool weather – a horrible evening for racing but in spite of that a good number of hardy souls turned out for the time trial. We reverted to the lImerick road route – Yellow Bridge to Birdhill roundabout and back – a distance of 10 mls. The fastest man on the night was Shane Scully in a time of 23.41 and remarkably, Pat Bergin and Liam Callaghan clocked the same time – 24.46 while Tommy Hanrahan just missed out with 24.47.
